Ubercart is a package of modules that add e-commerce functionality to your Drupal site. This session provides an overview of Ubercart by exploring an existing Drupal/Ubercart online store from three perspectives: shopper, merchant, and site builder. You will see how Ubercart integrates with other Drupal modules such as CCK, Views, and ImageCache, to create powerful e-commerce sites. This session also discusses the Ubercart community and give you enough references to start using Ubercart yourself.
This session is aimed at newcomers to Drupal who have a fair understanding of PHP, or a background in another programming language. It introduces the concept of hooks and detail a few of the most common ones. If you've ever wanted to write Drupal modules but just needed someone to give you a push or lay the groundwork, or if you know you'll need to program custom modules someday, or are just curious about why Drupal is a great framework for any web application, this is your session.
This session covers techniques for theming primary, secondary, and tertiary level links into collapsible & expandable menus.
Examples covered:
- Creating expandable horizontal menus
- Creating expandable vertical menus
- Using CSS to target primary, secondary, and tertiary level links
- Using CSS to target active, inactive, expanded, and collapsed states
- Applying custom background graphics for rollover and status indicator effects behind live text
