An Intro to Service Workers
Aaron Manire
Progressive Web Apps are all the rage these days and we're just beginning to see the emergence of the offline web. Key to building PWAs, service workers enable features like offline fallbacks and notifications.
This session will give you enough to get started building your own service worker-enabled pages. We'll review the service worker lifecycle, Fetch and Cache APIs, and some common gotchas.
Some experience with ES6 JavaScript will be helpful, but is not required for this session.
