Data and Discipline: Creating "Most Valuable Experiences" with the 80/20 Rule

All too often, a website’s user experience is driven by organizational input and not the perspective of end users. In this case study session, you’ll learn how HonorHealth, an Arizona-based community healthcare system, partnered with Palantir.net to create a new design system for their Drupal platform centered around the needs of their users.

HonorHealth web product owner Jake Kelly and Palantir senior strategist Jill Farley will share how they utilized user research and top tasks analysis to develop a framework of “most valuable experiences” for HonorHealth’s audiences. The site’s information architecture and hierarchy, calls-to-action, navigation, and layout are all anchored around these experiences.

This data-driven approach delivered a flexible, scalable design system that exceeded HonorHealth’s audiences’ expectations. As importantly, HonorHealth’s product owner had the data to support UX decisions and build buy-in with stakeholders across the organization.
