➡️ Configure Gutenberg Editor
1. Download and install the Gutenberg Editor on your Drupal site. You can find the module by searching for "Gutenberg" in the modules section.
2. Once installed, configure the module for a specific content type. For instance, you can set it up for the "Article" content type.
Navigate to Structure Content Types Edit, and scroll down to locate the "Gutenberg Experience".
Ensure the module is correctly installed if you can't find this option.
3. Enable the Gutenberg Experience by checking the box. This activates the editor for your chosen content type.
4. Save the form once configured.
➡️ Customizing the Gutenberg Editor
1. Under the Gutenberg Experience settings, you will see the "Allow Gutenberg Blocks" option. These are the standard blocks that accompany the editor.
You can activate or deactivate these blocks based on your requirements. For instance, you can switch off blocks you know you won't use, like separators or videos.
2. The editor provides many embed options, like Twitter. You can turn these on or off to fine-tune and control what blocks are available to your editors.
3. Scroll down to the "Allow Drupal Blocks" section. Here, you can allow specific Drupal blocks to be embedded in the editor for reuse. This feature is particularly powerful when used with the Media module.
4. You can allow inline blocks to create any content block. Drupal's default installation profile provides you with a basic block, but you can create your blocks with custom fields and allow them to be embedded into the editor.
With the Gutenberg Editor, Drupal users can enjoy an enhanced content editing experience that offers greater control over content display.
Remember, the Gutenberg Editor is compatible only with content types; it currently does not support taxonomy terms.
