How to integrate data into your product lifecycle
Video Description
Speaker: Nick Pistone
We can all agree that data is important. But too often data gets siloed. It becomes the responsibility of a data analyst who spends their time creating reports that are interesting but ultimately don’t lead to a better product. It’s simply a garnish on a main course that we don’t know if our customers will even like.
Instead, we need to directly connect our strategies to improve the product to the data we collect. That data should tell us how effectively we’ve implemented a change. This provides our stakeholders with an ongoing understanding of the value we our bringing to the product and shows our progress with each step. Importantly, when things do not go according to plan, we learn quickly and we adapt as needed.
I’ll give examples from several projects with federal clients where I’ve taken this approach to help design an MVP and refine it through various iterations. Attendees will get concrete examples of how they can better integrate data into their product lifecycle, a template, and opportunities to ask questions.
