Getting Started with Gutenberg in Drupal, 1.5: Add Columns and embed Drupal Blocks into Gutenberg
Video Description
Do you need to add columns to your Drupal pages? Gutenberg offers a simple solution for adding columns to your content without coding.
Here's how to get started:
1️⃣ Start with the Slash Command: Type "/columns" into your Gutenberg editor. This will bring up options to define your column widths. Choose a layout like "50/50" for two equal columns or "33/66" for a two-thirds, one-third split.
2️⃣ Add Content Blocks: Insert your desired content into each column. You can use Gutenberg's existing blocks, such as headings, paragraphs, and images.
3️⃣ Organize with Ease: Gutenberg allows you to rearrange your content easily. Drag and drop blocks between columns or use the outline view to move them up and down within a column.
4️⃣ Integrate Drupal Blocks: Do you need to add specific Drupal blocks, such as a search bar or recent posts list? Gutenberg allows you to insert these directly into your columns.
5️⃣ Preview and Publish: Once satisfied with your layout, save your changes and preview the page. Your columns will be neatly organized on the front end of your website.
Gutenberg gives you control over content creation and page layout within Drupal, and adding columns becomes straightforward.
